Necky Touring Seat
Made of durable molded foam, this seat is designed specifically to reduce pressure on your sciatic nerve. By actually improving flow around the gluteus maximus, it helps prevent your feet and legs from falling asleep when you’re paddling longer distances. For added comfort, the seat does not retain water. It also features an integral tether that attaches to the seat of the boat, keeping it in place when car-topping. The supportive back band provides ample lumbar support, movement and comfort for most body types. Many of our touring kayaks feature this seat.
Active Comfort System
Designed for all day comfort the ACS seat features a visible, intuitive adjustment system, multi-laminate construction for optimal support and softness, an enhanced seating surface for superior air-flow and drainage and lateral stabilizers which lock the seat in place for that “one with the boat” feeling. The four-way adjustable seat tailors individual backrest height, thigh support, lumbar support and backrest angle to provide a truly customized ride. This seat is featured on many of our day touring kayaks.
Comfort Flex Seat
The Comfort Flex Seat is designed maximize motion and comfort. The unique flex panels optimize movement which can help to alleviate paddler fatigue. The adjustment system also allows you to customize your seating position so you can paddle for hours. You can find the Comfort Flex Seat on the Necky Rip series
The Necky Outfitter Seat includes the ACS (Active Comfort System) seat pad with a large supportive back band. This system maximizes comfort without minimizing the paddlers’ mobility in the boat. Designed for all day comfort the ACS seat pad features a multi-laminate construction for optimal support and softness, an enhanced seating surface for superior air-flow and drainage and lateral stabilizers which lock the seat in place for that “one with the boat” feeling. Our Looksha 17 Outfitter and Looksha 17 Composite models are offered with this seating option.
Cross Lock Buckle
The Cross Lock™ is a unique strapping system used on many of our hatches. The “X” pattern is achieved with four straps and one quick release buckle. The low anchor points of the straps allow for excellent pressure that is evenly distributed around the hatch cover. Simple, secure and easy to use! This system is featured on most of our kayaks including the Looksha series and the Eliza polymer.
Quick Seal Hatch
The Quick Seal hatch features a unique gasket that seals perfectly to provide dry storage. In addition to the watertight gasket seal it also has the easy to open Cross Lock™ Buckle System that makes getting into the hatch a breeze. You will find this hatch on the Rip series, Vector series and the polymer Manitou series.
For our Chatham series and Eliza composite kayaks, we choose to use the popular Valley® hatches. These hatches are the first choice for extreme expedition use. They are virtually waterproof, tough and easy to access.
The Neo Hatch is a proven design that will endure every stress placed on a kayak hatch without fail. The neoprene gasket covers the hatch opening and is backed up by a hard cover that is strapped in place. This type of redundancy results in a dry hatch that will not pop off in rough conditions. Our composite tandems, Looksha Elite, Looksha 17 Composite and Manitou 14 Composite feature this hatch system.
